Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.
— Henri Cartier-Bresson
I’ve taken well over 10,000 photos. I took that many photos over the past twelve months. It’s nice to think that my worst photos are behind me, but I know that I’ll continue to shoot images that I’m unhappy with. This is a good thing. I’m working on my craft and exploring new dimensions to my art.

— Ansel Adams
Developing as a photographer is as much about becoming a better editor of your photos as it is a technician and artist. Which of my photographs is my favorite? The one I’m going to take tomorrow.
— Imogen Cunningham
